Sandwiches, Pickleball, & Trivia
Today was a more chill day on our great Northeast adventure. We woke up and drove to Aunt Patt's. Her house is so cute and nestled in a small coastal town in Maine. Inside her home, we all sat in her kitchen talking and catching up. Her house has sea foam walls with artwork everywhere. I love the coastal eclectic vibes of her house. I've noticed that my family's homes are a good reflection of them and that holds for Aunt Patt.
After talking in the kitchen for a while, we decided on getting sandwiches and a small place in town and then heading up to a Peninsula called Bailey’s Island. We ate on the rocks and it was so beautiful. We saw two people in kayaks and some kids on the beach. After talking for a while, we decided to head into the gift shop and look around. We saw some cool artwork with sea glass. Aunt Patt gave us some sea glass to take home with us! I'm already thinking of all the things I can do with it.
Then we drove back into town and back to Pat’s house where we changed and got water and headed to Pickleball. We played 2v2 both times. We played with Tyler and me on a team, and Aunt Pat and my mom on another team. The first game me Tyler and I won and the second game Pat and my mom won. I guess we’re just gonna have to rematch some other time to see who the reigning champ is.
After our two games, we were sitting beside the courts and some people asked if one of us wanted to play with them in a game and Tyler said yes. He beat them 12 to 1. Let’s just say there were some sore losers.
After that, we headed to this brewery in town that was hosting a trivia night. The brewery was called Flight Risk and it had all different types of beers, seltzers, and sours on draft. We got pizza and drinks and played trivia until around 9 PM. We ended up in 19th place which sounds bad but honestly, for the amount of people in there, I feel like we did pretty good. After trivia, we headed home, talked for a little, and then went straight to bed. Today was sort of a chill day for us, which was very needed and I will be able to get lots of sleep tonight since our fishing charter got moved from 1:30 to 3 PM tomorrow. Talk to y'all tomorrow!
